Ostankino Tower congratulates on Flag Day

On Sunday, the Russian tricolor is going to shine brightly on our media facade. Also there will be lettering "August 22 - the State Flag of Russia Day." This year Russian tricolor is 30 years old.

Traditionally, since 2009, flag has been placed on the top of the Ostankino Tower. It is the tallest flagpole in the world. Wind at more than half a kilometer altitude is incredibly strong, so our staff change the banner 3-4 times a year (most often that operation do employees of the TV Tower Murad Kurbanov and Maxim Golubev). The way up together with the flag's changing takes about an hour. This work requires skills and fearlessness, so its result is really high! Happy Holiday!
